All Sheriff Sales are conducted on Wednesdays, beginning at 10:00 A.M. Sale notices are advertised in the Spooner Advocate or Washburn County Register for three consecutive weeks prior to the sale. Please note that sales are subject to cancellation or postponement at any time prior to the sale.
Place:
Washburn County Courthouse - North Entrance (a.k.a. North Steps), 10 4th Avenue, Shell Lake, WI 54871.
Payment Notice:
Unless otherwise indicated, a 10% down payment in the form of certified funds is required at the time of the sale of the foreclosed property, payable to the Washburn County Clerk of Courts. Payments must be made in cash or by a certified bank check. Personal checks cannot and will not be accepted.

Click on http://wcca.wicourts.gov/ to obtain circuit court records on a foreclosure property. You must first agree to the terms by selecting "I Agree" and then enter the case number found below into the case number field.

Click on washburncowi.wgxtreme.com/property to obtain property records and geographic information or tax information on a foreclosure property. You must first agree to the terms by selecting the appropriate box. For property records and geographic information choose the WebGuide when agreeing to the terms. Then click on "Search" on the upper right hand side of the webpage. You will be able to search a property by entering the appropriate information (note: a space must be left between the first letter and the number portion of an address, e.g. "W 6604" as opposed to "W6604.") Once the property is found and is shown in right-side panel, you may click on the globe to see an aerial of the property or you may click on the parcel id to see property information. For tax information choose the Tax and Assessment Data when agreeing to the terms. You will be able to search a property by entering the appropriate information (note: a space must be left between the first letter and the number portion of an address, e.g. "W 6604" as opposed to "W6604.")
