Drug and Alcohol Court Team attends Conference

The Washburn County Drug and Alcohol Court (DAC) team attended 20 hours of comprehensive training at the Heartwood Conference Center on October 21-23. The Wisconsin Treatment Court Standards Training was conducted by the Wisconsin Association of Treatment Professionals (WATCP) for region 10 consisting of 13 northwestern Wisconsin counties.

 

The mission of the Washburn County Drug and Alcohol Court is to reduce substance abuse and criminal behavior in order to improve the lives of offenders, families, and the community by providing intensive court supervision and substance abuse treatment while holding offenders accountable for criminal behavior. Drug and alcohol court is held the second and fourth Tuesday of every month at 08:30 AM and is conducted in open session.
