Current Road Construction Projects
The Washburn County Highway Department will be performing routine maintenance on various roads concurrent with the following projects. Please drive with caution when you encounter a work zone. We appreciate your help in protecting the county highway department workers you encounter in your travels.

County Highway B - STH 63 to STH 253
This road project started in late July. The road is closed to thru traffic.
We will be pulverizing the blacktop, digging out and replacing the
substandard soil, replacing culverts, working on ditches and slopes,
then graveling and paving. Once paving is complete, we will gravel the
shoulders and stripe the road. The project will be complete at least thru
the 1st mat of blacktop by fall and then the road will be opened. We
may only do the portion from STH 253 to CTH K this year and the rest in
the spring, but that will depend on the weather.
CTH A - CTH K to Tower Hill Road
This project was completed earlier this summer.
