Alcohol & Other Drug Abuse Prevention Committee

Goal Statement

1. The Committee will be a clearinghouse for alcohol and other drug abuse information and current programs. The Committee will help coordinate efforts of our individual communities.
2. The Committee will work closely with the Court, law enforcement and other involved groups in developing strategies to work with disposition of drug offenders.
3. The Committee will help to provide meaningful outlets and activities for the encouragement of drug/alcohol abstinence in youth in our county, and the responsible use of legal substances for adults in our county. One method of fulfilling this goal is to support local Positive Youth Development (PYD) groups.
4. The Committee will represent Washburn County with the Network Council for CESA 11.
