The District Attorney prosecutes all criminal actions, state forfeiture actions, county traffic actions and actions concerning violations of county ordinances which are in conformity with state criminal laws, in the Circuit Court of Washburn County.
The District Attorney also handles all juvenile cases involving abused or neglected children alleged to be in need of protection and services; drug endangered children; juvenile delinquency; and cases involving termination of parental rights.
The District Attorney's office prosecutes worthless checks (NSF and Account Closed). A referral form for submitting worthless checks is available from the D.A.'s office.
