The Alzheimer’s Family and Caregiver Support Program provides services to families caring at home for someone with irreversible dementia. To be eligible, a person must have a diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease or a related disorder, and be financially eligible.
Services that may be provided through the Alzheimer’s Family and Caregiver Support Program are:
- Information to caregivers and public to increase awareness;
- Assistance to support groups;
- Provide adult day care to enable caregivers to be temporarily relieved from their care giving responsibilities; and
- Provide overnight or emergency respite care
